"Blue Moon" Off Grid Mountain Yurt

Escape to Blue Moon Yurt, an enchanting off-grid retreat tucked deep in the forest on the slopes of Pleasant Mountain. Surrounded by trees and the sounds of our spring-fed mountain brook, it’s a peaceful place to unplug, slow down and immerse yourself in the Maine woods.

Please note the access: Blue Moon is reached by a rugged, approximately 5-minute hike up a steep 500-foot incline. Pack accordingly and plan to carry your belongings to the yurt. We strongly recommend arriving before dark.

Blue Moon has no electricity, running water or Wi-Fi. We provide olive oil and solar lanterns for lighting, a two-burner propane stove for cooking, and a wood stove with plenty of firewood to keep you cozy.

Sleeping arrangements include:

• 1 queen bed
• 2 twin beds
• 1 twin-over-queen bunk bed
• 5 beds total

Please note: There is no bathroom inside the yurt. Guests provide their own linens, towels and pillows. In fall, winter and early spring, we recommend a 20°F-rated sleeping bag. Blue Moon is pet-free to help maintain the tranquility of the space.

The yurt is family-friendly, and children 8 and under stay free. Please let us know how many guests are coming so we can prepare the space accordingly.

We use self-check-in, and outdoor lighting is minimal, so bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Step outside and you’re surrounded by 33 wooded acres with private hiking and snowshoeing trails, mountain views and our beautiful spring-fed brook. Blue Moon also makes a wonderful base for exploring Western Maine and nearby Mt. Washington Valley.

Depending on availability, you can add a private wood-fired sauna session or private yoga class to your stay for an additional cost.
